10 years?!?!?!?!?!!?!

apparently I have been on this website for 10 years. wow... but my anniversary was on the 18th and i forgot... whoops. Oh well let's celebrate now!!

so lets do a little bit of a story time shall we.

Once upon a time back in 2005, a young girl called Lauren used to explore the internet. She never really had internet before at her mother's house so she was having a blast. It wasn't until Lauren's friend introduce her to Gaia Online, where she discovered this forum on there with all this amazing art.

Lauren was inspired and wanted to be an amazing artist too, but didn't know where to start. One day she discovered that all of these artists had a link attached to their profile, all leading to a website called DeviantART. There she discovered many more artists, but still lack the confidence to join and draw. It wasn't until one day she discovered an artist called Danime-chan and couldn't believe she found an artist who like her loved Cardcaptor Sakura. Because of this artist, Lauren was inspired and wanted to try it out the website and digital art. So she did. On September 18th 2005, Lauren created her account. She had a bit of trouble with her username though and wasn't sure what to call herself. Kittyloz came to mind, but although she loves cats and her nickname was loz, it didn't feel right. That is when Bunnyloz came up and she knew that was it.

So she started her account, but it didn't start off smoothly. First of all, no one watched her, this really hurt her confidence, but not only that, she had some mean trolls that told her she sucked at art. So she was very very upset. However she didn't give up, and continued to try. Eventually she got some watchers and became very close to them. As years passed drama happen, so now she wasn't close to them anymore.

At this stage she still didn't have much support for her art in the online world, but that only gave her more drive. She was determined to get better.

So for 5 years she had a very quiet time on here. At this point she had graduated high school and was now in university. Chibis were very in at this stage and she wanted to try it out. So she opened a 5 slot request. This is when the attention started. She was starting to be known as a chibi artist. She still wasn't very known but within those years she gained 1000 watchers and a heap of pageviews. In February 2011, the unexpected happen. Her first idol on this website Danime-chan watched her (comments.deviantart.com/4/5786…). Lauren was over the moon and couldn't believe what had happen. One of her goals was to be noticed by her idol and she was. She continue to be recognised for her work and she was happy... but not for long.

at the end of 2012 Lauren began to feel like her art was going no where. She was at a halt and felt like she wasn't improving. Not only that, because she started to get attention, she also drew attention to art thefts, and they began stealing her art. She started to feel like no one cared and she was going nowhere. So she vanished for a bit. She realised as well that because all she was doing was drawing chibis, she wasn't getting anywhere and tried to change her style. This caused her to loose some watchers and friends. She tried to come back in 2013 but the theft kept building up and she became depressed. So she decided to leave the website for a year.

as 2015 came around, Lauren decided that she wasn't going to be held back by the bad art thieves anymore. So she had named 2015 to be her art year! she was determined to make a brand out of her name and to improve as an artist. She made her return on DeviantART and although she doesn't have much watchers as she did a few years ago, she is determind to not give up again.

And here we are, 10 years from now. I felt weird writing that all in 3rd person but oh well. I find that I have grown a lot as a person and an artist over these 10 years. Thank you so much for supporting me, whether you have been watching me for years or now, I couldn't thank you enough for being there for me. You guys keep me going.
